Xiaomi rumored to develop a new lineup to compete with Oppo & Vivo
Xiaomi had planned to develop its focus on retail store market since the beginning of the year. While It’s online store business are working well and still offer competitive product in affordable price, Its market share significantly reduced with the competition from OPPO and Vivo who have made huge focus on retail marketing. Fast-forward to this time, we have some rumored to confirm that Xiaomi really had put focused on retail brand.
According to Chinese publishing ,Xiaomi is planning to release a new smartphone lineup aimed to sell in retail market. Xiaomi already had a good start with it owns 137 Mi Store which sell accessory and IoT products. Although this is a good start for retail marketing success but is not enough. Xiaomi had to designed the new sub-brand to make it competitive for retail market by focusing on design over the performance and price like their had did before. This sub-brand will be coexist with Mi (Flagship) and Redmi(Budget).
The publisher also had a render photo of the new lineup which look much similar to iPhone7. While there are still no other detail about specification or price, we will keep an eye on Xiaomi’s ambition to conquer this market with its new sub-brand and will give an update as soon as it comes.
