Xiaomi Mi 8 Leaked box show Snapdragon 845 on board with dual camera
With the announcement date coming close in this 31 May, there are more leaked image of highly anticipated Xiaomi Mi 8. From a glance of the box, its show the specification of Snapdragon 845 paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (a 128GB version was also mentioned previously). The unique feature that highlighted here seems to be dual-GPS module – which is the first time to feature in the consumer smartphone. It’s still unclear how the feature will benefit the location-tracking performance until we really had someone to test this.
Other highlighted feature from the box are dual-camera setup on the back with one of the sensors rated at 20MP, which once again is in line with the previous rumors. The phone is confirmed to use USB-C without 3.5mm audio jack. Fortunately, the box highlighted that 3.5mm to USB-C dongle is included in the box.
The previous leaked information showed the phone with 6.2-inch Full HD (1080×2280) display with 19:9 aspect ratio contradicting previous reports of a 6.01-inch display. The phone will also feature in-display fingerprint scanner.
The authenticity of the specs sheet is a bit hard to confirm at this point so don’t take anything for granted. We will know for sure once the device goes official on May 31.
