Nexus 6P Boot Loop has been fixed with this XDA Developer’s workaround
While Nexus 6P has very impressive specification in paper and well designed aesthetic, some of the phone had been suffered from boot loop of death issue that render the phone to become useless. This issue had been reported since December 2016 and Google even admitted that there is no fix for this issue other than hardware replacement. However, we are lucky enough that XCnathan32, one of the hacker in xda-developer, had found the workaround to make your boot-looped Nexus 6P worked again.
The fix involved in flashing modified images for the boot.img and customized TWRP recovery that specially designed to work with the defected hardware. Specifically, the customized images had the 4 big A-57 cores of the Snapdragon 810 SoC disabled, only little A-53 cores are booted and active in the OS. Obviously, this results in big performance degrade, but it is better than the bricked phone that not working at all.
Multiple users had applied the fix and reported work successfully. While the performance is much slower, its gave the longer battery life since A-53 core consume much less power. You can read the instructions and follow through to get your Nexus 6P revived from boot-loop from xda-developers. We really appreciate the developer who working for this.
